Social Company ResponsibilityIn March…everyoneis off to school!AArgentinanew school year has started for thechildren of our collaborators inArgentina, reason for which Skanska tookon the commitment of accompanying thefamilies by means of handing over 2.300school kits.All children, whose school ages varybetween 5 and 14 years of age, receivedthis gratifying gift. In this way, ourcompany continues to accompany theircollaborators at the most important momentstogether with their families.We wish all Skanska children a veryhappy start of the school year!Skanska ratifiestheir commitmentwith societyVenezuelaOnce again, our company reaffirms their commitment withthe communities where they perform their business. Bymeans of interacting with the local population in the Venezuelancommunity of Cartal, located in the area of El Tigre, our EasternHuman Resources Co-ordinator, Anabel Guzmán, took over thehanding in of school stationary kits to children of low resourcesin this community.In addition, during carnival dates, the children from theOritupano community received stationary, which was handedover by our Human Resources collaborator, César Roca.These activities address some of the actions that Skanska carriesforward with the purpose of converting each region, in which theyundertake a project, into a source for social interchange, by meansof contributions that include coaching, training, work positions,medical assistance and sanitary education.26Construyendo Latinoamérica Nº 49 | March 2008
