Thisproject employs over 420 people embarkedin different Petrobrás productionplatforms.As the result of this achievement, theloading team at platform PCH-2 (Cherne2) received from Petrobrás a diploma andofficial congratulations on their commendableperformance. “It is indeed a keyoutcome derived from the joint efforts ofour collaborators,” ensured Miguel Heredia,Base Macaé’s Administrative Manager,who also explained that all personnelmust follow rigorous safety guidelines,given the high level of environmentalhazard.This city, responsible for five percent of Brazil’s oil production, producesaround 1 million oil barrels per day.The fact of reaching this productionrate shows <strong>Skanska</strong> is further developingits expertise in their technical and operationsareas, meeting the client’s expectationsand preserving the entire team’sphysical integrity,” Miguel concludedproudly.<strong>Construyendo</strong> Latinoamérica Nº <strong>49</strong> | March 2008 7
