Islamorada, Village of IslandsMonthly Program Report, Period: 2/25/13 to 3/30/13Wastewater Collection & Transmission Project6.3 Middle Plantation Key and Fontaine DriveAt North MPK, installation of vacuum main pipe and vacuum pits are complete along Indian MoundTrail, Seminole Boulevard, Iroquois, Mohawk, Sioux, Pueblo, Navajo, and Apache Streets. Pretrenchingfor vacuum pipe continued along Tequesta and Caloosa Streets. Service lead relocationrequests by homeowners continue to be implemented by RWI.At MPK South, trenching and installation of vacuum pipe, most vacuum pits, and service stub-outs havebeen completed along Monroe, Cocoa, Sebring, Ocala, Tampa, Orlando, Key Heights Drive, HighPoint, Rolling Hills, and North Rolling Hills. Trenching for sewer main and vacuum pits continued alongAirstream Lane and Village Street.Installation of vacuum sewer, vacuum pits, laterals, and most of the punch-list items have beencompleted at Fontaine Drive. Final testing of the system is currently underway.Middle Plantation Key - Installation of Vacuum Pit and Cleaning Prior to Testing6.4 Key Largo Conveyance Force Main (CFM1.A)Installation of open-cut conveyance force main pipe in the US-1 right-of-way was completed this month.Work continues on the directional bore component of the force main. Restoration of curbs, asphaltpavement, and sod is underway. Heavy traffic volumes along US-1 required RWI to transition to nighttime work for work impacting traffic lanes.Page | 12 April 2013
