Islamorada, Village of IslandsMonthly Program Report, Period: 2/25/13 to 3/30/13Wastewater Collection & Transmission Project7.0 COMMUNICATIONS, OPERATIONS & 30-DAY LOOK AHEAD7.1 CommunicationsResidents will have an opportunity to review the proposed location of their sewer service lateralconnections into the collection and transmission system. This opportunity will be afforded to residentsat public meetings prior to the completion of the 60% level. RWI has projected dates on their currentschedule submittal as to when these public meetings will be held for each phase of the project. RWI isalso scheduling Pre-Construction Meetings for each phase of the project so residents are informed priorto the start of construction. The table below provides a Resident Summary Schedule of when thesedates are currently proposed, and when construction in each area is expected to start and finish. Vice Mayor Ted Blackburn, Councilman Mike Forster, Village staff, ORTstaff, and RWI staff presented to the KLWTD Board a summary of the proposed work activities andanticipated work schedule.7.2 OperationsThe following provides a brief description of the work that was started and/or completed during thereporting period. The Operations & Maintenance Report for this period is included in appendix VI.RWI operations and maintenance staff continue to successfully maintain and operate the NorthPlantation Key WWTP within compliance with no exceedances.Approximately 3.943 MG was treated during the reporting period with maximum daily flows of0.186 MGD.Four service call outs were received and resolved.Page | 14 April 2013
Islamorada, Village of IslandsMonthly Program Report, Period: 2/25/13 to 3/30/13Wastewater Collection & Transmission Project7.3 30-Day Look AheadThe following summarizes many of the following tasks scheduled to be accomplished over the nextthirty days: Continue construction and testing of the MPK vacuum collection system and begin constructionof the low pressure force main collection system along Old Highway. Continue restoration activities, and place into service the NPK collection system modifications. Complete the installation of the US-1 Conveyance Force Main to KLWTD from MM 99.6 to MM100.3 (CFM1.A), and commence with construction of the second phase of the US-1Conveyance Force Main from MM 99.6 to MM 90.9 (CFM1.B). Complete testing and secure acceptance of the Fontaine Drive collection system Secure FDEP permit for the relocated MPK Vacuum Pump Station Continue acquisition steps for procuring vacuum pump station sites and private road easements Continue the design of the remaining service areas Continue preparing and receiving/reviewing technical submittals and Requests for Information Submit and initiate review of design of the Conveyance Force Main to KLWTD from MM 91.1 toMM 99.6 (CFM1.B) addressing ORT and agency comments.
