SPIRITUAL GIFTS CLASS - Healing of the Spirit Ministries

WHAT DO I DO AFTER I HAVE FOUND MY GIFT(s)
1. Read at least 5 books on your gift. 20 is better
2. Study the scriptural teachings on gifts.
3. Learn by study and by faith, cognitive & experience.
4. Do the spiritual disciplines, develop the fruits
-pray -fast
-meditate -worship
-read Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster
5. Be where the Lord is doing something, at retreats, reunions.
6. Look for opportunities in your church, volunteer.
7. Pray for opportunities.
8. Help others discover their gifts.
9. Seek opportunities to use your gift, in the church and outside.
10. Make a long range plan for self development.
11. Take courses at school, college etc.
12. Don’t be disappointed if you do not exercise your gift(s) perfectly the first few times.
All learn by experience.
With the help and support of your Pastor:
1. Develop a philosophy of Ministry relating to gifts in the congregation.
2. Structure the church & church responsibilities around giftedness.
3. “Unwrap” the spiritual gifts in your church.
4. Sponsor a spiritual gifts workshop.
5. Motivate the congregation from the pulpit.
