MINI-GRANT GUIDELINES Guidelines for Washington-St.Tammany Electric mini-grants WHO QUALIFIES FOR THESE GRANTS? Any K-12 classroom teacher whose school is within a community served byWashington-St.Tammany Electric Cooperative or whose students' homes are served byWST Electric. Ask your school administrator who provides electricity to your school.HOW MUCH ARE THE GRANTS, AND WHAT IS THEIR PRUPOSE?There will be a maximum of nine (9) mini-grants of $500 each. These grants areto be used for classroom based projects.WHAT IS THE "FOCUS 0}1' THE PROJECTS?Projects are to feature student investigation and should meet the needs andcuriosity of your students. The project should bt iimjled only by the imagination of yourstudents and the resources you have available.HOW WILL THE APPLICATIONS BE JUDGED?Judging wiU be conducted by the staffofthe Association of Louisiana ElectricCooperatives located in Baton Rouge, LA. The judges' decision will be final. MinigrantjUdging will be based on:1. Feasibility of the project2. Plan outline3. Budget4. Financial need5. Need ofthe students6. These articles should be mailed to WST as soon as possibleafter completion ofthe project.H.cmembcr: The purpose of the mini-grants is to allow you and your students to try aninteresting project and share that experience with others- not to complicate your liveswith red tape.
