Attentive to thesmallest details, the designer injectedFrench touches in the canopy over thebed and the cabriolet legs of the nightstand.<strong>The</strong>atrical drapes on the windows,a crystal chandelier, multipleseating areas for conversation and acozy fireplace make the room the truedefinition of a retreat. Even the familypet is included with a thoughtfullyplaced ornate pet bed situatedbetween two windows.<strong>The</strong> hub of a home is usually thekitchen and this home is no exception.In this open concept design, thekitchen is an integral part of the livingspace. “<strong>The</strong> marble basket above thestove is the focal point for this verytraditional space,” says Joyce.(continued on page 26)25
