Captain’s Spiced Cider1 1 ⁄2 cups Captain Morgan spiced rum2 cups of cider1 qt. water3 orange spice tea bags1⁄2 cup light brown sugar8 cinnamon sticks3 teaspoons butterPour water into a large saucepan and bring to a boil.Remove from heat and toss in the orange spice tea bags.Cover and let steep 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and stirin sugar, apple cider, rum, and 2 of the cinnamon sticks.Heat just to steaming — do not boil. Ladle hot cider into 6mugs and drop 1 ⁄2 teaspoon butter into each. Garnishwith a cinnamon “swizzle” stick.Zesty Bloody Mary1 1 ⁄2 oz. vodka1 dash celery salt1 dash ground black pepperfew drops of Tabasco to taste2-4 dashes of Worcestershire sauce1⁄8 tsp. horseradish (pure, never creamed)1 dash of lemon and/or lime juice1 dash of red wine1 dash of JägermeisterPour all ingredients over a highball or pint glass filled withice or snow. Add tomato juice and shake vigorously.Garnish with lemon, lime and blue cheese stuffed olive.Mulled Wine with Brandy3 cups water1cup sugar1 lemon peel1 cinnamon stick15 cloves1 bottle red wine1⁄4 cup brandySimmer all but wine and brandy in a cooking pot (crockpots work great!) for 10 minutes. Add in the wine andheat back up until warm to the touch. Do not boil. Add inbrandy and let sit for a while to absorb the flavors. Servewarm.Peppermint SchnappsHot Chocolate1 oz. peppermint schnapps5 oz. hot chocolatePour the peppermint schnapps into an Irish coffeecup/mug, add the hot chocolate, and stir. Top withwhipped cream, garnish with some peppermint candy,and serve.Candy Cane Martini2 oz. strawberry vodka4 dashes white crème de menthe2 oz. cranberry juicepeppermint schnapps for extra zingcrushed candy canesmini candy canesWet rim of martini glass and rim with crushed candycane. Combine vodka, peppermint schnapps, whitecreme de cacao & juice in martini shaker with ice. Pourand garnish with a small candy cane.Grandma’s Slushies7 cups boiling water2 cups strong black tea2 cans frozen lemonade concentrate1 can frozen orange juice concentrate1 1 ⁄2 cup whiskey1 1 ⁄2 cup sugarMix together in a large container (margarita/ice creambucket) and freeze. It will take 2 days to freeze to the right“slush” consistency. To serve, scoop into a cup. If you’rein a hurry to drink it, thin with a bit of ginger ale or Sprite.White Christmas2 oz. white creme de menthe3 ice cubes1 tsp. white creme de cacaosoda waterPour creme de menthe and creme de cacao into a glassfilled with ice. Top off with soda water and garnish drinkwith a sprig of mint.Chocolate Mint Martini1 oz. vodka1⁄2 oz. white crème de cacao1⁄2 oz. green crème de menthechocolate sticksmint sprigsPour vodka and crèmes together with ice. Shake andpour into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with chocolatestick and mint.Poinsettia1 part champagne1 part cranberry juice1 oz.
