This place is as nearperfect as I have found.I’m going to mention but afew of the gastronomicallyincomparable dishes. I cannotrecommend more forcefully foryou to have anything on themenu. Everything is exactlyright, perfectly presented, flavorbalancedand appealing to thenose and tongue in an almosthedonistic sensual dance.We had the broccoli rabeunder the best Burrata BuffaloMozzarella anywhere on this planet,Mediterranean mussels and anamazing delicacy of shrimp withsweet Thai sauce.Our main coursewas ribeye capressa bucatini, ahomemade specialty that isimpossible to stop eating.However, we made room for thebest imported pasta in the world(not only my opinion, but that ofvirtually every critic I know), ciprianipasta (even homemade pasta,as most pastas are at Mario,are notquite as perfect as cipriani but, atleast, at Mario you can geteither…or both).For dessert, please allow yourselfthe indulgence of what mustnever be called simply cannoli.This spectacular delight is servedin a cannoli shell and filled withthe smoothest,softest,sexiest fillingof specially preparedSfogliatelle Cannoli Cream overan Amaretto DiSaronno that anypalate has ever experienced. I saidit two years ago and I repeat ithere: Mario Ristorante Italiano isthe very best Italian restaurant inSouth Florida. There are manywho come in second, but this isnumber one.DIRECTIONS: If you’re coming north fromSample on 441, look for the Shell Stationand Walgreen’s on your right, less than amile past the Sawgrass entrance/exit. Ifyou’re coming south from Hillsboro on 441,turn left onto Regency Lakes Blvd. at thelight by McDonald’s just south ofJohnson/Holmberg.
