Aldine ISD will makeevery effort possible to find a position withinHistorically, Aldine ISDplaces more than 100student teachers each year.About half of those areplaced in the fall!the district. Student teachers will still need tocomplete an application and may be asked toattend the transfer fair and/or interview withprincipals. In the event position is not available,Aldine ISD will recommend you to surroundingdistricts that may have an opening.It is our goal to place every student teacherwithin our own district – although this is notalways possible. Fall graduates will be placedin the first available opening. Historically,Aldine ISD places more than 100 studentteachers each year. About half of those areplaced in the fall!Students assuming a position mid yearwill begin teaching in the position immediatelyfollowing the student teaching experience.Pending graduation, the teacher will be paidas a long-term substitute. After commencement,the teacher will remain in the positionand begin earning regular teacher pay.How do I choose Aldine ISD?Once you have decided Aldine ISD is yourhome for student teaching, signing up is veryeasy. Simply inform your student teachingplacement officer at your campus of yourintent. The placement officer will make all thearrangements. It is highly suggested that youtake time to explore the Aldine ISD websiteand learn more about each campus. Manyuniversities allow you to select your school.
