He or she alsoconducts general announcements prior tothe presentation of a guest speaker. Our student teachersupervisors are key to the district’s and thestudent teachers’ success.John Amshoff began his teach<strong>in</strong>g career as a high school band director. Dur<strong>in</strong>g histenure, Mr. Amshoff served as both an assistant pr<strong>in</strong>cipal and pr<strong>in</strong>cipal at Hambrick Middle<strong>School</strong>, Grantham Academy and Nim<strong>it</strong>z High <strong>School</strong>. Mr. Amshoff has 32 years of experience<strong>in</strong> education.Wayne Coleman is a graduate of Ald<strong>in</strong>e High <strong>School</strong>. Throughout his 33 years ofservice, Mr. Coleman has been active as a teacher at <strong>in</strong>termediate, middle, and high schoollevels. He has been a counselor and has held both campus and district leadership roles.Sue Wooten was a master pr<strong>in</strong>cipal <strong>in</strong> Ald<strong>in</strong>e ISD for more than 22 years. Dur<strong>in</strong>gher forty-two years as an educator <strong>in</strong> Ald<strong>in</strong>e ISD, Ms. Wooten served as an English teacher,an adm<strong>in</strong>istrator, and a counselor.Carolyn Allen began teach<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> Ald<strong>in</strong>e ISD as a Teach<strong>in</strong>g Fellow. Throughout her33 years as an educator <strong>in</strong> Ald<strong>in</strong>e ISD, Mrs. Allen has served as a teacher, assistant pr<strong>in</strong>cipal,and pr<strong>in</strong>cipal.Freddie Gould has spent thirty-six years devoted to educat<strong>in</strong>g the children <strong>in</strong>Ald<strong>in</strong>e ISD. His career took him from teach<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> a classroom to counsel<strong>in</strong>g, to assistantpr<strong>in</strong>cipal, to pr<strong>in</strong>cipal. Under Mr. Gould’s leadership, Stehlik Intermediate <strong>School</strong> earned theState Exemplary status.Charlotte Benson began teach<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> Ald<strong>in</strong>e ISD <strong>in</strong> 1975 as a first grade teacher.Dur<strong>in</strong>g her tenure, Mrs. Benson, was an assistant pr<strong>in</strong>cipal at an elementary school and an<strong>in</strong>termediate school. In 1997 she opened H<strong>in</strong>ojosa EC/PK, a pilot campus for early childhoodeducation. Today, Ald<strong>in</strong>e ISD has four EC/PK centers modeled after H<strong>in</strong>ojosa EC/PK.Candee Wilson has 29 years of experience <strong>in</strong> public education. Mrs. Wilson hasserved as a pr<strong>in</strong>cipal for 17 years at three elementary schools, a Pre-K<strong>in</strong>der/K<strong>in</strong>dergartenmagnet school, and an <strong>in</strong>termediate school for 5th and 6th grade students.Wilbert Johnson has 34 years of experience <strong>in</strong> the field of education w<strong>it</strong>h all thoseyears <strong>in</strong> Ald<strong>in</strong>e ISD. Throughout his tenure, he has held pos<strong>it</strong>ions as a teacher, assistant pr<strong>in</strong>cipal,and pr<strong>in</strong>cipal. Until recently, Mr. Johnson was Area Super<strong>in</strong>tendent for the Eisenhowervertical. Mr. Johnson is an active member <strong>in</strong> the Association for Supervision and CurriculumDevelopment, the Gulf Coast Career and Technology Adm<strong>in</strong>istrators Association, and theNorth Houston Greenspo<strong>in</strong>t Chamber of Commerce.27
