The library has added several books to its permanent collection. Following are some of those<br />
books.<br />
THE SABOTEURS by W.E.B. Griffin. The b<strong>at</strong>tle of the Atlantic is <strong>at</strong> its peak.<br />
German U-bo<strong>at</strong>s are sinking U.S. supply ships, ships are burning in U.S. ports and<br />
a series of explosions has altered trains and train st<strong>at</strong>ions around the country. Is it<br />
all accidental or is it sabotage? Meanwhile, Allied Forces are secretly preparing<br />
to invade Sicily and Italy, so there is a lot of work to be done. Wild Bill Donovan<br />
assembles a crew <strong>for</strong> the work ahead. Soon they find themselves b<strong>at</strong>tling on two<br />
fronts <strong>at</strong> once – and f<strong>at</strong>e is about to deal them a few surprises.<br />
THE INVISIBLE by Andrew Britten. Tensions between Pakistan and India are <strong>at</strong><br />
an all-time high. To complic<strong>at</strong>e m<strong>at</strong>ters, 12 American climbers have disappeared<br />
in the Hindu Kush mountains of Pakistan. The President is demanding answers<br />
but none are <strong>for</strong>thcoming. As the conflict escal<strong>at</strong>es the U.S. Government sends<br />
an assistant Secretary of St<strong>at</strong>e to act as an intermediary between the leads of both<br />
n<strong>at</strong>ions, as well as to ensure th<strong>at</strong> all ef<strong>for</strong>ts are being made to find the missing<br />
climbers. The Secretary vanishes without a trace when her motorcade is ambushed,<br />
outside Islamabad, and her security agents are killed. Ryan Kealy has been a key<br />
player in the War on Terror <strong>for</strong> the past decade, first in the Special Forces and<br />
then with the CIA. He is now called to duty again, to sort out the problems in this<br />
region, only this time the odds <strong>for</strong> success are slim to none.<br />
THE BLACK STALLION by Walter Farley. Young Alec Ramsey first saw the<br />
Black Stallion when his ship docked <strong>at</strong> a small port on the Red Sea. The Stallion<br />
was a giant of a horse – all muscle, power and beauty. His mane swept in the wind<br />
like a black flame. A white cloth was tied around his head to cover his eyes so he<br />
could not see. He reared high into the air, his front legs striking viciously <strong>at</strong> the<br />
men who were trying to get him aboard the ship. Little did Alec dream th<strong>at</strong> this<br />
mighty horse was destined to play an important part in his life. A strange bond<br />
would grow between them th<strong>at</strong> would lead them through untold dangers in their<br />
journey to adventure in America.<br />
