Numerous subwatersheds form the <strong>Central</strong> <strong>Welland</strong> <strong>River</strong> watershedincluding Beaver Creek, Black Ash Creek, Parkers Creek, Unnamed Creek, SuckerCreek, Coyle Creek, Drapers Creek, Little Forks Creek, Lyons Creek Drain, Indian CreekDrain, Biederman Drain #1 and Biederman Drain #2, as well as <strong>Welland</strong> <strong>River</strong> BetweenCanals, <strong>Welland</strong> Canal and a portion of <strong>Welland</strong> Canal North (Figure 1). The majorconcentration of urban land uses (residential, commercial, industrial) in the study area iswithin the City of <strong>Welland</strong> and a small portion within the City of Port Colborne; smallerresidential areas of Fenwick and Fonthill in Pelham also fall within the study area.14
