CITIZEN WATCHES ROAD SHOW AT DUBAI MALL<br />

Middle East Product Launch Event<br />

CITIZEN Watches Gulf (CWG) launched its latest limited<br />

edition «Eco-Drive SATELLITE WAVE» in the Middle East on<br />

the 23rd November 2011. The launch was held at the exclusive<br />

Fashion Catwalk of the Dubai Mall amidst a large number of<br />

Media representatives and guests from around the Middle East.<br />

Eco- Drive SATELLITE WAVE has a totally new time keeping<br />

system, the watch searches for the closest of the 24 navigation<br />

satellite that orbits the earth. It captures the day, date and time<br />

signals the satellite emits from space, 20,000 kilometers above<br />

the earth Since the satellite signals are controlled by atomic<br />

clocks, this watch›s timekeeping is ultra-precise. The watch is<br />

capable of receiving the signal from any open space, even in<br />

the boundless western pacific or atop the world›s highest peak.<br />

Project Scope<br />

Dubai Mall has one of the best and spectacular multimedia<br />

screens in the world including the biggest screen in world<br />

designed and deployed by Samsung near the ice rink skating<br />

arena. In total, there are about 8 variety of screens which<br />

includes the fashion walk screens, ring screens suspended from<br />

roof, link bridge screens, ice rink screens, wall mounted screens<br />

and lamp post mounted vertical screens on the boulevard. Two<br />

or three <strong>ma</strong>jor event companies have worked on these screens<br />

for live multi-media presentations and ani<strong>ma</strong>ted graphics.<br />

ASPGulf’s Role<br />

Based on the trust that Citizen Watches have over ASPGulf<br />

purely on past experiences, the Client entrusted ASPGulf<br />

with the challenge of designing multiple for<strong>ma</strong>t multi-media<br />

presentations for display throughout the Road Show week.<br />

It was quite a challenging commitment especially when the<br />

Dubai Mall multi-media team echoed that there are a few<br />

<strong>ma</strong>jor agencies who have ventured into these screen projects.<br />

In parallel, an online application was developed for the visitors<br />

to register in the KIOSK by answering a questionnaire which<br />

was also developed by ASPGulf development team. The winners<br />

were selected by Dubai Chamber of Commerce official's on a<br />

later date at Lamcy Plaza.<br />

We delivered the project on time and was running consistently<br />

for the next 7 days throughout during <strong>ma</strong>ll times i.e. 9.00am<br />

to 12pm including one weekend. Dubai Mall claims to have<br />

the <strong>ma</strong>ximum number of international visitors during the<br />

weekends. This project gave ASPGulf a <strong>ma</strong>jor exposure on<br />

various facets and nuances of multimedia projects and to show<br />

case the same in front of an international audience.<br />

Project success is attributed to the team’s sheer spirit of taking<br />

a challenge and accepting the cliché that there is always a first<br />

time.<br />
