5. Structures to describe <strong>picture</strong>s: Quantifiers<br />
A. Look at the <strong>picture</strong>, and read the paragraph:<br />
Last week, there was a lot of<br />
rice on this hill. Now, there isn’t<br />
any rice. There’s some smoke,<br />
and a lot of ash on the ground.<br />
Before, a lot of trees grew here.<br />
Now, there aren’t many trees,<br />
and there isn’t much fruit. These<br />
<strong>people</strong> are going to stay in<br />
another village. They have some<br />
relatives there. They don’t have<br />
any food now, and they don’t<br />
have much money. Luckily,<br />
they have a lot of relatives.<br />
Circle all the nouns that come after the underlined words. Are they countable or uncountable?<br />
