a. Look at the 2 children in the <strong>picture</strong>.<br />

Who is more beautiful? Who is older?<br />

Look at the grammar box for help<br />

making comparative forms.<br />

b. Work in pairs. Use one of the<br />

adjectives below to make questions:<br />

“Who is…?” or<br />

“Who has…?”<br />

and the comparative form.<br />

When we compare, we use ‘-er’ , ‘-ier’ or ‘more’:<br />

‘-er’ is for short words:<br />

cheap - cheaper thin - thinner<br />

‘-ier’ is for words ending in -y:<br />

lucky - luckier easy - easier<br />
