Tekka RC Paws Party<br />
It was the Residents’ inaugural dogs<br />
meet up, on 12 June 2010, “Party<br />
for the Paws!” All 150 tickets were<br />
snapped up within 2 weeks of sale.<br />
The party’s initiative was birthed<br />
forth by a group of dog lovers within<br />
the neighbourhood, in the hope of<br />
bringing excitement to their four<br />
footed friend. The party was graced<br />
by Guest of Honour, RADM (NS) Lui<br />
Tuck Yew, who is also an avid dog<br />
lover. There were various activities<br />
like obedience talk, best dressed<br />
contest, games and lucky draw.<br />
External vendors like the Pet Lovers<br />
Centre, Mdm Wong’s Shelter and<br />
Awesome Pawsome heightened<br />
the party’s atmosphere as well.<br />
The Tekka <strong>Moulmein</strong> RC also took<br />
the opportunity to bring across<br />
the message of responsible dog<br />
ownership in the estate. Poo bags<br />
were put in the ‘goodie’ bags to<br />
help reinforce this message. All<br />
‘goodie’ bags and games prizes<br />
were sponsored by The Pet Lovers’<br />
Centre. The fun filled bag brought<br />
a smile across every participant’s<br />
face, a ‘take home’ for everyone.<br />
To sum up, it was a blasting time of<br />
Fun, Food and Prizes for all dogs and<br />
their owners.
