Registration & Cancellation InformationTo register for a <strong>New</strong> <strong>Horizons</strong> course, contact yourAccount Executive at one of our locations. Earlyregistration is strongly recommended. Please note:Payment is due in full no later than the date of the classunless prior arrangements have been made. Call yourAccount Executive for details. Prices are subject tochange without notice.Course PrerequisitesAll of our Level 2 and Level 3 courses build upon skillsdeveloped in earlier classes. It is important that you areproficient with the skills presented in these foundationclasses. For complete course outlines, please contactyour Account Executive.Refund PolicyAll tuition and fees paid by the applicant shall berefunded if the applicant is rejected by the schoolbefore enrollment. An application fee of not more than$25.00 (not more than $10.00 for veterans) may beretained by the school if the application is denied. Alltuition and fees paid by the applicant shall be refundedif requested within three business days after signing acontract with the school. After the third business dayhas elapsed, the student cancellation and no-showpolicy, outlined below, will apply. All refunds shall bereturned within 30 days.Veterans Cancellation and RefundPolicyIf you receive educational benefits through the UnitedStates Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) and youwish to cancel your program, you must submit awritten notice of cancellation to <strong>New</strong> <strong>Horizons</strong>. Uponreceipt of written notice of cancellation, <strong>New</strong> <strong>Horizons</strong>will refund the amount of the unused portion of theveteran’s tuition. Unused tuition will be calculated on apro-rata basis by taking the total cost of the programpaid by the veteran, less the price for any courses,books, materials, labs, and exams used by the studentprior to the date of the cancellation notice.Student Cancellation And No-ShowPolicyDesktop Applications Open EnrollmentInstructor-Led, ONLINE LIVE, and Mentored<strong>Learning</strong> Classes: If you cannot attend the classfor which you hold a reservation, you must notify yourAccount Executive five (5) or more business daysprior to class. For pre-paid coupon and single-seatenrollments, no refund will be issued nor outstandinginvoice canceled, if you cancel your class less thanfive (5) business days prior to the class date or if youDO NOT show up for the class. For club memberenrollments, a $50 cancellation fee will be assessed.Club members who repeatedly fail to comply withthis cancellation policy may have their membershipcanceled. <strong>New</strong> <strong>Horizons</strong> reserves the right to cancelclasses due to low enrollment at any time. In the eventa cancellation occurs, your Account Executive willcontact you.Certified Technical Open EnrollmentInstructor-Led, ONLINE LIVE, and Mentored<strong>Learning</strong> Classes: If you cannot attend the classfor which you hold a reservation, you must notify yourAccount Executive ten (10) or more business days priorto your class. For pre-paid coupon and single-seatenrollments, no refund will be issued nor outstandinginvoice canceled, if you cancel your class less than ten(10) business days prior to the class date or if you DONOT show up for the class. For enrollments associatedwith Technical Certification or Club packages, a $500cancellation fee will be assessed.Online ANYTIME: Online ANYTIME training coursesmay be upgraded to equivalent Instructor-Led courses,provided such an upgrade is made within 30 days ofreceipt of your password, and provided that you havenot completed more than 20% of the class.When You Come To ClassStudents should arrive at least 20 minutes prior toclass start time. If you’ve been issued a physical classcoupon you will be asked to present it upon arrival.If you arrive more than 30 minutes late to class, yourseat may be given to a waiting client. Please call if youanticipate arriving late.Description of Facilities and StudentMaterialsAt <strong>New</strong> <strong>Horizons</strong> each student will have his/her owncomputer (for computer training courses) and amanual provided to follow along with the instructor.All classrooms have climate controls to provide acomfortable learning environment. All of our facilitieshave easily accessible rest rooms and break-rooms forstudent use. <strong>New</strong> <strong>Horizons</strong> offers a variety of resourcesto enhance your learning experience. These tools areavailable to all students who choose to take advantageof them. <strong>Learning</strong> resources include Web-based andprint services that allow students to clearly visualizewhat they will learn and also practice new skills learnedin class.<strong>Learning</strong> GuaranteeEvery completed <strong>New</strong> <strong>Horizons</strong> instructor-led coursecarries our unbeatable <strong>Learning</strong> Guarantee. Thisguarantee allows you to repeat a <strong>New</strong> <strong>Horizons</strong>instructor-led course FREE OF CHARGE within sixmonths of completion of the course if you are not fullysatisfied.Students wishing to retake a course are required tobring their original courseware and will be on stand-byuntil the day of the class.Grievance/Appeals ProceduresIn the event that you experience a problem with aparticular class or instructor, you should first discussthe matter with the instructor. If a resolution cannotbe reached, you should then contact your AccountExecutive. In the event that you experience a problemwith a policy, procedure, or practice of <strong>New</strong> <strong>Horizons</strong>educational program, you should first contact yourAccount Executive. If a satisfactory agreement cannotbe reached by you and the Account Executive, youshould then contact the General Manager. It is thepolicy of <strong>New</strong> <strong>Horizons</strong> to resolve student concerns ina swift and equitable manner.If the General Manager upholds the initial decision,the student may appeal the decision in writing to <strong>New</strong><strong>Horizons</strong> Executive Management, within 30 days of theruling. <strong>New</strong> <strong>Horizons</strong> Executive Management will reviewthe appeal at its regularly scheduled meeting and notifythe student of its decision in writing.
