Ourprograms are focused on “be our best” education,injury prevention and safety, immunization,legislative advocacy and increasing access. Eachyear we reach more than 100,000 children andfamilies, with one goal in mind: keeping kidshealthier and safer.Car Seat Safety“Documented lives saved” is the outcome of ourchild passenger safety program. A child safety seatcan reduce the chance of death by 71 percent forchildren under the age of one, and bymore than 50 percent for childrenbetween the ages of one and four.Ours is one of the largesthospital-based car seatinspection and distributionprograms in the nation,distributing over 1,000 seatsand inspecting double that eachy e a r.
