MEMS Events MEMS Industry Group Holds MEMS Executive Congress MEMS Industry Group will hold its first ever MEMS Executive Congress on September 20, 2005 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. The one day event brings together a diverse group of executives from a wide variety of industries and features keynote speakers and panelists who will share their experiences integrating MEMS technologies into commercially viable products. Keynote speakers include Dan Sheflin, VP of Advanced Technologies and CTO, Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions and Dr. Valluri Rao, Technology and Manufacturing Group, Fellow and Director of Microsystems Technologies, Intel Corporation. Jean-Christophe Eloy, Managing Director and Founder of Yole Développement will deliver a lunchtime overview of the state of the MEMS industry. Dr. Rick Satava, MD, Program Manager, DARPA will address the group, during an evening pre-conference cocktail reception. The first panel, “Making Money with MEMS," features industry leaders who will speak about their MEMS business profitability and how they achieved market share. The second panel, "Successful MEMS Companies," features executives who have successfully integrated MEMS into their products and their experiences bringing their new product to market. The third panel, "Challenges to MEMS Integration," will include those who have integrated MEMS into their products or systems and who faced specific challenges during integration. Events �� MEMS Exhibition MICROMACHINE 2005, the Japan’s leading exhibition focusing on Micro/MEMS & Nano Technnologies The exhibition MICROMACHINE 2005 will take place at Science Museum, Tokyo, from 9 to 11 November 2005. Main exhibits are as follows. - Micromachines - Components and Applied Systems - MEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) - Microfabrication Techniques and Modeling Software - Nano-Technology - Nanotech-Materials - Materials - Biotechnology and Medical Applications - Evaluation Equipments In 2004, 247 exhibitors including organizations and research laboratories & universities participated in the show and 8,213 visitors gathered during an exhibition period at Science Museum, Tokyo. The 11th International Micromachine/Nanotech Symposium will be held on the 2nd day, 10 November, 2005. Last symposium was a great success with 359 attendees, which is 20% up to the last result.
