Theevent sponsored by Blackstaff Press,was a jointventure for the two branch libraries.ExhibitionsCentral <strong>Library</strong> hosted many exhibitions and eventsduring the year, highlighting the library service’scommitment to strengthening partnerships. Theyincluded the following:■ The Iain Hay Gordon exhibition, presenting some of the material gathered by BBC Northern Ireland’sDocumentaries Unit on one of the most notorious crimes in Northern Ireland’s history■ The centenary exhibition of St Mary’s teacher training college, charting its history and development■ The launch of ‘The Shape of Irish History’ by ATQ Stewart, published by Blackstaff Press■ An exhibition on the production of the book ‘A Tropical Glen: A Floregium’, published by <strong>Belfast</strong> CityCouncil■ A tour of Central <strong>Library</strong> included as part of an historic walking tour of the City Centre■ Free taster sessions in web design during <strong>Belfast</strong> Learning Festival■ The 30th anniversary exhibition of the Blackstaff Press22 Strengthening Partnerships ✓
