Although enormously long sentences are hard to understand, evenif properly punctuated, it is not always possible to use very shortsentences. In order to aid comprehension, constitutions have startedusing sections or articles with many levels <strong>of</strong> subdivision. Here isan example (from the Constitution <strong>of</strong> Papua New Guinea):2.
