G.O. Ms No. 633, Rev. (Q) Dept., Dt. 5-5-822. Govt. Memo No. 1400/B2/82-4, Dt. 19-5-83.3. From the commissioner of <strong>Land</strong> Revenue, D.O. Lr. No.Spl. B4/1767/84, Dt. 22-11-84, addressed to all DistrictCollectors and copy marked to Government.In the G.O. first cited, orders have been issued imposing a general ban onthe disposal of Government land in the State except for the purposes of housesiteand other needs of the Weaker Sections. Subsequently in the GovernmentMemo second cited all the District Collectors have been directed to invariablyobtain prior orders of the Government before handing over possession of theGovernment lands to the beneficiaries. The Commissioner of <strong>Land</strong> Revenue hasalso instructed all the Collectors by the D.O. letter cited above not to giveadvance possession without due orders from the Commissioner of <strong>Land</strong>Revenue or Government. But inspite of the above instructions and also theinstructions issued by the Commissioner of <strong>Land</strong> Revenue in this D.O. Lr. No.Spl. B4/1767/84, Dt. 22-11-84, it has been observed that the District Collectorsare continuing the practice of giving advance possession of lands to individualsor agencies and coming up to the Government for ratification.The Commissioner of <strong>Land</strong> Revenue is once again requested to issuespecial instructions to all the District Collectors to the see that they avoid givingadvance possession of lands to he beneficiaries against the existing instructionsof the Government and to adhere strictly to the orders issued in G.O. Ms. No.633 , Rev., Dt. 5-5-82 and instruction in memo No 1400/B2/82-4, Dt. 19-5-83 andto obtain due permission/orders form the Commissioner of <strong>Land</strong> Revenue orGovernment even in any cases co9nsidred urgent.* * * * *T.
