HAC’s board will visit homesproduced using the “self-help” method. Low-income home buyers help constructtheir own homes in order to keep costs af<strong>for</strong>dable. The tour will include completedhomes and others under construction.Who:When:Residents will be available <strong>for</strong> photographs and interviews in both Milwaukee andDelavan. Representatives of housing organizations at the national, state,and local levels will be available on the bus, at the sites, and at lunch. Theseinclude the <strong>Housing</strong> Assistance Council and its local hosts: Fannie Mae, SouthCommunity Organization, Southeastern Wisconsin <strong>Housing</strong> Corporation, UMOS,and the Wisconsin Association of Self-Help Executive Directors.
