We were particularlypleased to see the Hieroglyhic ladybird(melanic ) - small black - no spots!!Apart from the Cabbage Whites,butterfly numbers have been belowaverage.The Comma(Polygonia c album)eventually turned upon September 10th.The Speckled Wood(pararge aegeria ) was seen during themonth in the village.Brian Bland8
