Alternate means of locating landing zones and ACP's shouldbe provided for by placing self-erecting navigation aids or by infiltrating patrols equipped with communication gear.64. Unloading and Return Flighta. To reduce congestion in the landing zones and minimize thetime aircraft are exposed to enemy fire while on the ground, theyare unloaded rapidly and take off for return movement by flightswithout organizing into serials. Pathfinders within the objectivemay assist in clearing combat troops and equipment from thelanding sites and in the takeoff of aircraft to speed up the actionand avoid traffic congestion.b. Flights return to the loading area over designated returnroutes. If an alternate route is to be used, necessary instructionsare issued and coordinated with the FSC and other affected headquarters.c. When returning flight leaders reach a predesignated point,they contact the loading area for instructions.AGO 2294B
