TheRockets drove 65 yards in the final 2:07 <strong>of</strong> regulation to setup the game-tying field goal. Syracuse had taken the leadmoments earlier on an 18-yard pass from Ryan Nassib toAlec Lemon.<strong>Toledo</strong> was led by junior WR Eric Page, who caughta season-high 13 passes for 158 yards. Sophomore DavidFluellen, subbing for the injured Adonis Thomas, rushedfor 62 yards and caught a 29-yard TD pass. Dantin finished22-<strong>of</strong>-32 for 258 yards and one touchdown.GAME NOTESSyracuse’s PAT after its final touchdown appeared to wide left, but<strong>of</strong>ficials on the field ruled it good. Replay <strong>of</strong>ficials confirmed thecall. However, after the game, Big East <strong>of</strong>ficials admitted that thekick was no good, a key mistake in an overtime loss...UT falls to4-3 all-time in overtime contests and to 1-8 against teams from theBig East...Page passed Steve Odom (216 catches for 2,631 yards,2003-06) to move into third place in school history with 219 careerreceptions for 2,696 yards. ..Junior QB Austin Dantin started thecontest under center and completed a season-high 22-<strong>of</strong>-32 passesfor a season-best 258 yards and one touchdown...Sophomore QBTerrance Owens also saw time in today’s non-league finale andcompleted 6-<strong>of</strong>-10 passes for 42...Senior RB Adonis Thomascarried the ball for eight yards on the first play from scrimmageand immediately came out <strong>of</strong> the contest with a left arm injury.Following the game, Head Coach Tim Beckman announced thatThomas had suffered a broken arm and would be out 3-4 weeks...Senior CB Desmond Marrow was taken <strong>of</strong>f the field in a stretchermidway through the third period after a helmet-to-helmet collisionwith Syracuse RB Antwon Bailey. Marrow, who finished with ateam-high nine tackles, suffered a concussion but was otherwiseokay...Freshman PK Jeremiah Detmer converted a 52-yard fieldgoal on the final play <strong>of</strong> the opening half in his first collegiatefield-goal attempt. Detmer’s 52-yard boot is the second-longest inschool history, trailing only Todd France’s 55-yard kick vs. WesternMichigan on Nov. 6, 2001.
