You score 66 pointsand win…barely.A week after <strong>Toledo</strong> lost to Northern Illinois 63-60, the<strong>Toledo</strong> Rockets outlasted Western Michigan, 66-63, in theGlass Bowl on Tuesday night in one <strong>of</strong> the most incredible<strong>of</strong>fensive displays since, well, last week.In the final game in the Glass Bowl for <strong>Toledo</strong>’s 20seniors, <strong>of</strong>fensive records <strong>of</strong> all shapes and sizes were shattered.The contest took 4:16 to play and ended well pastmidnight. The two teams combined for a MAC record1,439 yards <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fense, a MAC record for touchdowns with18 and set a Glass Bowl record with 123 points.The issue was not settled until <strong>Toledo</strong> recovered an onsidekick with 1:01 to play. The Rockets thought they hadthe victory socked away when Jeremiah Detmer booted a39-yard field goal with 1:51 to play to put the Rockets up,66-56.
