(HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT)INFORMATIONThis option is for students who are interested in entering careers likehuman resource management, labour relations and organisationdevelopment. The degree also makes provision for, with specificadditional modules, access to pr<strong>of</strong>essional qualifications.Students are also allowed to include a subject in social science likeSociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Political Science or IndustrialCommunication or into <strong>the</strong> B.Com. (Human Resource Management)degree.During <strong>the</strong> first year a choice may also be made betweenEconomics and Accounting. It is not compulsory to take both subjects.Admission to <strong>the</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>essional training and <strong>the</strong> B.Psych. equivalence issubject to selection (at <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> third year). Consult <strong>the</strong> B.Psych.co-ordinator. After successfully completing <strong>the</strong> B.Com. (HRM) Honoursas well as <strong>the</strong> relevant internship programme, students can apply forregistration as psychometrists at <strong>the</strong> HPCSA (Health Pr<strong>of</strong>essionsCouncil <strong>of</strong> South Africa). In case <strong>of</strong> uncertainty, please contact <strong>the</strong>Departmental Chairperson <strong>of</strong> Industrial Psychology.CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSIONRefer to <strong>the</strong> General university admission regulations as well as <strong>the</strong>Faculty admission regulations.TIMETABLE CLASHESStudents must compile <strong>the</strong>ir curriculums in accordance with <strong>the</strong> classand lecture hall timetable and <strong>the</strong> examination timetable, and arepersonally responsible to ensure that <strong>the</strong>re are no clashes.CURRICULUMStudents registering for <strong>the</strong> degree B.Com.
