A project is a collecti<strong>on</strong> of files that you manageas a group. Usually a project is a single program, although it need not be.Eclipse remembers the state of all projects. If you close Eclipse in the middleof a debug sessi<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> a project, the next time you open Eclipse, it will have thatsame project open in the Debug perspective. If you then switch to anotherproject and switch back, you will come back to the Debug perspective. Eclipseremembers. But we get ahead of ourselves here. You need to create a project.10.4.2 Using Eclipse for a New ProjectNow that you have Eclipse up and running (Figure 10.13), you willwant to create a Java project. Eclipse has “wizards” (to use the MicrosoftWindows terminology) for creating projects. From the main menu, selectFile>New>Project.
