KT3225F SeriesTIMINGDEVICESCOMINGQ4 2006KT3225F TCXO for GPS Applicationswith Extreme Tight Temperature StabilityMost GPS (Global Positioning System) applications require very tight tolerance of temperaturestability “±0.5ppm over all temperatures” for accuracy. To realize this performance, thetemperature compensation of the crystal characteristic needs to be more accurate.Originally this type of TCXO used a 5th order function of temperature compensation ICwhich is more accurate, to achieve “±0.5ppm” performance. However Kyocera Kinseki haveachieved this tight stability while utilizing a basic technology 3rd order function IC with smallsize 3.2 x 2.5mm. The result is a TCXO, which has cost and performance (current consumption)advantages against devices which use a 5th order function IC.Applications:• Cellular phone• PDA, handheld devices• Navigation system• Tracking systemKey Features/Benefits:• Extremely tight tolerance: ±0.5ppm overthe temperature• Small Size: 3.2x2.5x1.05 (max) mm• Low current Consumption12
