Box 400Smithville, ONL0R 2A0T: 905-957-3346F: 905-957-3219www.westlincoln.caRe: Resolution to Province regarding Township of West Lincoln will not sign aCommunity Vibrancy Agreement with any Industrial Wind Turbine ApplicantThis is to confirm that West Lincoln Township Council at its meeting of May 27 th , 2013 adopted thefollowing resolution:WHEREAS the Niagara Region Wind Corporation presented a draft CommunityVibrancy Agreement to the Township of West Lincoln for consideration in September2012; and,WHEREAS Council for the Township of West Lincoln, and Township legal counselhave deliberated and discussed the Community Vibrancy Agreement at length; and,WHEREAS Council for the Township of West Lincoln has now declared itself as an‘unwilling host’;NOW THEREFORE Council for the Township of West Lincoln hereby declares thatthe Township will not sign a Community Vibrancy Agreement with any Industrial WindTurbine applicant; and,THAT all municipalities be encouraged not to participate in a Community VibrancyAgreement; and,THAT, this resolution be forwarded to the Premier, Leaders of the OfficialOppositions; Ministers of the Ministries of the Environment, Infrastructure and Energy,Rural Affairs and Agriculture and Food; Region of Niagara; Niagara Peninsula EnergyInc.; local MP and MPP, the Renewable Energy Approval applicants in West Lincoln,and all Ontario municipalities through Association of Municipalities Ontario.20
