This wasreturned along party walls and combined with floorand loft insulation, with Mechanical Ventilation withHeat Recovery (MVHR) system installed to providepre-warmed, filtered, fresh air, secondary glazing, amicro CHP (combined heat and power unit) andupgraded lighting and appliances, as well as lowVOC paints and natural flooring.The house achieved a 79% reduction in carbonemissions.24
