Although situated justoutside a conservation area, the boundary of which runs down themiddle of Passmore Street, the property was treated as if it were ina conservation area consistent with <strong>Council</strong> draft proposal in 2008.On completion it was awarded a BREEAM Ecohomes score of 78.The retrofit strategy included:• A solar PV array sized to supply 1.88KWp on the roof• New insulated roof, and insulation to floor• Internal insulation to walls• Secondary glazing to front, double glazing to the rear• Bath replaced with single shower room• Low water use fittings (9L shower and low flow sanitaryware)• Low energy lighting in 75% of the house.• Soft landscaping and rainwater collectionDetail of solar array with secondary glazing visible, Grosvenor Plc54
The completed property achieved a BREEAM Ecohomesscore of 78.94%.
