DEVELOPMENT OF JAMMER AGAINST VHF BAND (34-176 MHZ) REMOTECONTROL IMPROVISED EXPLOSIVE DEVICESPakistan is facing a serious social <strong>and</strong> security threat against national harmony due toterrorist bombing. Terrorist <strong>of</strong>ten use remote control devices such as walike talkie <strong>and</strong>cordless phones etc for activation <strong>of</strong> remote controlled devices. The project will give aneasy <strong>and</strong> low cost tool for jamming <strong>of</strong> VHF b<strong>and</strong> remote control devices in a selectiveregion.Originally much <strong>of</strong> the technology associated with jamming was developed for militarypurposes.A huge part <strong>of</strong> security in the military is data security, Jammingcommunications signals locally can prevent the loss <strong>of</strong> data.Some Law Enforcementagencies use Jammers to prevent criminals from communicating.Law Enforcement <strong>and</strong>military both use Jammers for preventing signals from certain kinds <strong>of</strong> remote explosivedetonation devices.Jammers originally worked on analog signals eventually Jammingwas necessary on digital networks Newer Jammers will block VHF, HF, AMPS <strong>and</strong>GSM networks.The jammer that has been designed isconsisted <strong>of</strong> three major parts. The power supply,IF section, RF section. The Jammer is designed to take its power from a sourcecontinuously <strong>and</strong> convert it into the dc output voltage required to drive the circuitry. TheIF-section <strong>of</strong> the jammer is used to generate the tuning signal required in the RF-Section. The main parts <strong>of</strong> the IF-Section are Wave Generator, Noise Generator <strong>and</strong>Signal Mixer.The RF-section is responsible for generating <strong>and</strong> transmitting the RF-Jamming signal.
