REAL TIME TELEMEDICINE HEALTH SYSTEMA medical diagnostic <strong>and</strong> treatment system to be deployed in remote areas <strong>of</strong> Pakistanwhere medical facilities are not adequate. This project would help the patients in remoteareas to get medical advice <strong>and</strong> treatment remotely by doctors <strong>and</strong> physicians. For thispurpose, a representative in each remote area will make appointments with doctor <strong>and</strong>patients can communicate with doctors on due time with the setup deployed in everysite. This project makes use <strong>of</strong> Multipoint video conferencing system <strong>and</strong> managesbasic patient data <strong>and</strong> provides facility <strong>of</strong> store <strong>and</strong> forward format i.e. writingprescription after checking symptoms.Telemedicine systems make it possible to transmit medical information at a distance bymeans <strong>of</strong> Information <strong>and</strong> Communication Technologies(ICTs). From the wide scope <strong>of</strong>Telemedicine, this project works on the multipoint video conferencing between healthpr<strong>of</strong>essionals <strong>and</strong> their patients (patient <strong>and</strong> doctor, patient with more than one doctoror two doctors communicating among themselves). Initially we would work only onwindows platform for client sides <strong>and</strong> linux/windows for central server.
