PREDICTING STOCKS TREND WITH TIME SERIES DATA MININGOne of the most important problems in modern finance is finding efficient ways tosummarize and visualize the stock market data to give individuals or institutions usefulinformation about the market behavior for investment decisions. Therefore our projectaims at timely prediction of stock trends and data, using data mining techniques thusgiving efficient results.The main objective of the project is to implement a methodology for predicting stocktrends and making decisions based on data mining and analysis techniques. Stocktrading system will be simulated and evaluated on real time stock data using severalknown classification algorithms, learning patterns based on certain stock data variableslike high, low rates and external variables like dollar, gold price.The system is a web based application(asp.net, MS SQL server) that will take stockmarket recent past data as an input and predict future trend of the market in form ofgraphs and reports.Following can be applications of our system:Can be used to generate useful daily reports and charts to review the brokeragehouse‘s performance and position (stock market). Can give suggestions to help in futuredecision making. Can be used to analyze the market situation based on previousrecords. Can be used to predict market trends based on the past market situation.
