LONGITUDINAL FORCE MODELS FOR 120/70 AND 180/55 TYRESLongitudinal forces for 120/70 and 180/55 tyres were not measured in [20]. Inorder to complete a general description of those tyres, it is necessary to make up,using the best evidence available, appropriate parameter values to describe theirproperties. The strategy for doing this is to use the 160/70 tyre as a model andto scale its data to obtain those for the other tyres. Longitudinal pure slip parametersfor the 160/70 tyre are given above in Table I, while those for pure lateralslip appear in Table II. In particular, the ratio of peak forces D x /D y is evaluated
