There are two ways of doing this: 1) Analog (toa tape recorder) or, 2) Digital (to a PC).1. Analog OutPut Recording (without a PC)The 4100 AuxBox converts the digital voice messages to analogfor connection to a desktop Voice Recorder. Conversations maybe recorded automatically, either by using the "VOX" function ofthe Voice Recorder or preferably by connecting the AuxBox offhookdetection relay into the "REMOTE" input of the VoiceRecorder. Off-hook will be detected during conversations, duringchime transmissions, and while the Norstar/BST Doorphone iscalling an extension.Most inexpensive consumer Voice Recorders available at retailelectronics stores will be compatible with the AuxBox audio output.Requirements• BST Doorphone A0518264(Or Norstar Doorphone) (Nortel)• 4100 AuxBox• Voice Recorder and Audio Cord(customer supplied)2. Digital Voice Recording to PC SoftwareThe 4102 Digital AuxBox is typically installed at the desktop connecting to both the doorphone digital wire loopand PC through a USB port. Off-hook will be detected during conversations, during chime transmissions, andwhile the Norstar/BST Doorphone is calling an extension.Calls can be recorded manually or automatically.
