YRS (<strong>Youth</strong> Rights Specialist) – This person oversees the youth grievancesystem. They can help you make a complaintand solve problems.CONCLUSIONWe know this time away from your familyand friends is difficult. <strong>TJJD</strong> staff will workhard with you to help you learn what youneed in order to be successful at home, atschool, and in the community. Ultimately,though, the power to change is yours. Youwill have to make the decision to participatein treatment and take advantage of what<strong>TJJD</strong> has to offer.Getting sent to <strong>TJJD</strong> is your chance for afresh start. Your judge saw something inyou worth trying to reach. The prosecutormay have even recommended you go to<strong>TJJD</strong>. And, taxpayers are putting up a lot of money for you to be here. Theywouldn’t spend that money to help you turn your life around if they didn’t careabout you and believe you could do it.There are many others who are rooting for you too – <strong>TJJD</strong> staff know you havethe potential to walk out the doors and do great things in life.
