4.3.1 Channel body 15 (NW of Braastadskaret)Channel body 15 is only found on <strong>the</strong> western side of <strong>the</strong> isl<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> is situated just before <strong>the</strong>nor<strong>the</strong>rn most neck. By using <strong>the</strong> PhotoModeler-model <strong>the</strong> thickness of <strong>the</strong> channel body isestimated to be approximately 7 meters <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> width to about 100 meters, hence this is oneof <strong>the</strong> smallest channel bodies <strong>interpret</strong>ed. The channel body has most likely an erosionalsurface as shown in Figure 4.33. The channel body consists of dipping layers, which areabundant in <strong>the</strong> majority of <strong>the</strong> channel body. Only <strong>the</strong> areas marked with red in Figure 4.33C<strong>and</strong> D, show no indication of dipping layers.The channel body is deposited 25 meters below <strong>the</strong> base of Hopen member.Figure 4.33: This figure illustrates <strong>the</strong> outcrop NW of Braastadskaret.
