Who is He whoformed our body; who composed it of so many differentparts, and joined those parts together in sojust a proportion; who causes them to receive spiritsand life by means of so many different vessels; whopreserves the temperature of the humours, so necessaryto its health and conservation; and keeps off somany inward and outward accidents, and so manydangers which are capable of destroying it ?not the same God?Is heAnd can we then fear that hewill suffer us to want that little which is necessary tofeed and clothe this body ?That person, who withfaith and gratitude often reflects upon what he hasalready received from God, is far from distrusting hisprovidence for the time to come." 24.
