Here hecontributed to the keynotep<strong>an</strong>el discussion on the “Stateof the Industry – Reflections of2010-11 <strong>an</strong>d beyond”.In his speech, Omr<strong>an</strong> saidthat: “2010 was a challengingyear for everyone, althoughgrowth was still apparent inthe telecoms <strong>an</strong>d technologyindustries. This indicates thatour sector has resilience <strong>an</strong>d isstill performing strongly. Fixed serviceslag, however, with only fourcountries having competitivefixed telephony markets.
