Localmedia reported, that <strong>an</strong> Israeli <strong>an</strong>dtwo Palestini<strong>an</strong>s were among thosesentenced to 15 years in jail for thenetwork.The state-owned daily newspaper saidthat two Egypti<strong>an</strong>s, Ahmed Metwalli<strong>an</strong>d Ahmed al-Badri, were jailed for 15years, while the Israeli <strong>an</strong>d Palestini<strong>an</strong>swere sentenced in absentia.Terms r<strong>an</strong>ging from four months toone year were h<strong>an</strong>ded to 11 peoplewhile 11 others were acquitted, thenewspaper reported.The group is said to <strong>have</strong> set up a telecommunicationnetwork that allowedcallers to make unauthorized internationalcalls through Israel, costing thestate-owned Egypt Telecom some 280million Egypti<strong>an</strong> pounds ($47 million)in losses.
