OBJECTIVESAccording to article 7 of the internal regulations, ULK aims at the following objectives:- Providing a solid scientific, intellectual education and professional training to thestudents;- Promoting research in order to meet the community needs;- Rendering services to the community;- Creating a competent human resources potential and endowed with moral, civic andpolitical solid values;- Organizing conferences and seminars to reinforce its teachings and researches;- Confering academic titles in conformity with legal provision related to the graduationact;- Awarding certificates at the end of short terms trainings;- Confering merit titles and excellence awards.4. The ULK Founder and President’s OfficeAmong his attributions, we can cite:- To represent legally ULK Association;- To appoint and dismiss some members of the Board of Directors- To appoint and dismiss Academic and Administrative authorities of the universityexcept those who are elected (Deans of faculties and Heads of Departments);- To ratify activities programmes and the ULK budget;- To decide in matter of investment and extension of the university;- To decide about the Masters and Doctorate studies;- To confer academic titles, award merits and excellence titles;- To manage RWIGAMBA BALINDA Foundation;- Ets
