YPS Year Book 2012THE JUNIOR SCHOOL ANNUAL REPORT (EXCERPTS)–Presented by Shaurya S<strong>in</strong>gh and Dishita Bhalla, V• The year 2012 began with a tremendousamount of brouhaha on 2nd February tocommemorate the birth of our prestigiousschool.• English read<strong>in</strong>g, recitations, poetry-writ<strong>in</strong>g,spell bee, English quiz, just- a- m<strong>in</strong>uteand creative writ<strong>in</strong>g competitions kept thelanguage teachers active throughout theyear.• On the Annual Sports Day a cont<strong>in</strong>gentof over 150 children from the JuniorSchool participated <strong>in</strong> a display of various‘asanas’ that left the audience speechless.• The Junior School sports were held <strong>in</strong> the SchoolStadium where many records were broken.• In April a total of 250 students of classes IV andV visited the nearby hills of Shimlaand Mussoorie for annualtreks.• The Annual Enterta<strong>in</strong>ment Programme washeld <strong>in</strong> October. A programme of six itemswas put up by more than 500 children.TheclassV English play stole the show and closeon heels were the two classical dancesperformed to rhythmic movements.• The end of the year br<strong>in</strong>gs the happyoccasion of Christmas for whichwe earned praises from the Chiefguest for the occasion.18
