AnArjuna awardee , Mr Gagan Ajit S<strong>in</strong>gh is a formerOlympian hav<strong>in</strong>g represented the country at theSydney Olympics <strong>in</strong> 2004 and the Athens Olympics<strong>in</strong> 2008.The Chief Guest, <strong>in</strong> an impressive March past , tooksalute from the participat<strong>in</strong>g teams, addressed thegather<strong>in</strong>g and declared the Meet open. He also metthe players of the participat<strong>in</strong>g teams and wishedthem all the success for the tournament.Mr.Taranjeet Bakshi , an alumnus of Bishop CottonSchool, Simla ,was the Guest of Honour, for theOpen<strong>in</strong>g ceremony.The matches were played <strong>in</strong> two sessions -morn<strong>in</strong>gand even<strong>in</strong>g- with the participat<strong>in</strong>g teams divided<strong>in</strong>to two pools-A and B and each side consist<strong>in</strong>g offour teams .The league matches were followed by thesemi-f<strong>in</strong>al matches .In the semi-f<strong>in</strong>al matches , MNSS, Rai , defeated Yadav<strong>in</strong>dra Public School, Mohali, andYadav<strong>in</strong>dra Public School, Patiala, defeated PunjabPublic School, Nabha. But, ra<strong>in</strong>s played spoilsportand the f<strong>in</strong>al match could not be played becauseof ra<strong>in</strong>.
