Cumberland CountyRitz’s Big Dipper & ScottBeaty Walked Into TheCumberland County Communityin Blue Ribbon StyleCROSSVILLE, TN-The CumberlandCounty Community Complex inCrossville, TN was host to the 6thAnnual Cumberland County OpenWalking Horse Show, held Saturday,June 9, 2012. This show was sponsoredby the American Cancer Society. Theevent was affiliated with PRIDE-HIO.The show was a success with the PRIDEDQPs and the USDA VMOs working inconjunction in the inspection area as169 talented and competitive horsesentered the ring.The Honorable Stan Tindalof Manning, SC judged the 28 classshow. Judge Tindal was assistedby ringmaster, Bradley Bottoms,of Crossville, TN. The master ofceremonies was Tommy Williamsand Wayne Nabors of Cookeville, TNkept the horses in time to the beat ofhorse show music. Jennifer Potts Barrand husband, Marty, were on handto snap action shots and candids ofhorses and their riders and any othermiscellaneous points of interest.The Robert Bottoms MemorialWalking Horse Stake winners wereRitz’s Big Dipper and Scott Beaty for theMcWilliams Farm. Second place wasawarded to The Thug and Dick Peeblesfor owners, Lucky and Kay Easterling.Third place was accepted by CharlieGreen on Sir Skywatch for owners, Joeand Ann Rich.The SCOOP congratulates allof the winners at Crossville and theAmerican Cancer Society on the successof their show.
