The were awarded the Lana FinneySurry County Foothills Classic washeld this year as The John KistlerMemorial Show. The show was heldon June 9th at the Fisher River Parkin Dobson, NC. The 113 entriesin 33 classes were judged by theHonorable Bill Reel. Madeline Griggsprovided the music while DebbyBush worked hard to get the perfectaction and presentation photos. TomKakassy was the announcer for theshow.A special recognition goes toDanny Kistler and Judy Brinkleyfor all their hard work gettingready for the show. Their effortspaid off in floral horseshoes andshow management would like tothank all of the many sponsorsand contributors of the prizes forthis show. Judy Brinkley provideda crystal vase in memory of ThirdEdition in the Show Pleasure classthat was won by Yvonna Matthis andJammin The Blues.The Open Walking Stake hadfour entries that were announcedindividually into the ring. Everyonepicked their favorite and a lot ofcheering came from the crowd.Coming out on top was All AmericanJose and Ronald Mosley. Thisbeautiful black horse is owned bySherry Mills of Statesville, NC. TheyMemorial trophy by Makenzie Nistonand The John Kistler Memorialtrophy by The Kistler family and JudyBrinkley. Generator’s Double Coinand Allen Abee were the reservechampions for owner, Sandra Abee.Third place honors went to NightfallAt The Ritz and Derek Monahan forowner, Rom Folger.
