The same may be fixed suitably by the purchaser , keeping inview nature of the items to be procured and availability of material readily.8. Forfeiture of Bid Security8.1 The Bid Security will be forfeited.(i) If bidder withdraws it’s Bid During the period of Bid Validity.(ii) In the case of successful Bidders, if the Bidder fails to sign the contract or fails to submit the performance security.9. Extension of validity of Bids.9.1 In exceptional circumstances the purchaser may solicit the bidder’s consent to an extension of the period of validity of60 days. The request and the responses there to shall be made in writing. The validity of EMD provided shall also besuitably extended . A bidder may request without forfeiting its bid security. A bidder granting the extension will not bepermitted to modify its bid.10.
